But there just weren't enough Aliens in AVPR to take on that many apes guns or Yeah, plenty of guns! And horses.

If the apes have guns, however, it's a stomp with relatively few losses. Apes swarm the Predalien and kill it in revenge. Caesar gets mutilated by the Predalien in a one on one. Apes would take a lot of losses but would overwhelm the Xenomorph by sheer weight of numbers. That being said, I think it would go down: In the movie, Gary Oldman's character scoffed at the previous report of there only being around 80 apes, and it clearly looked like there was at least 150+ (that's not including the females and young ones either the former being just as capable of fighting as the males in this situation). Three dozen Aliens plus a Predalien against 80+ apes is not a fair fight with or without guns. Maybe two dozen or so plus the Predalien? There was three dozen at maximum. There weren't that many Xenomorphs in AVPR, if I recall correctly. There was a healthy number of orangutans and gorillas, who have an incredible level of physical strength enough to toss around an Alien warrior (before succumbing to acid damage). Not to mention, they aren't all chimpanzees.

They're much, much more physically powerful than human beings and are much more agile. Secondly, even with guns and horses - so what? Predators who have far more sophisticated guns and are far more physically capable than apes - still have problems with Aliens because of their speed, agility and power. First of all, no where in the OP does it say they get guns.
